Field guide

No guesswork.

The mechanics, the fees and the risks, all in the open.

One token. One pool. Transparent rewards.

Northbound launches your token either on the pump.fun bonding curve or into its own Meteora DAMM v2 pool with the settings you pick: supply, decimals, address ending, starting market cap, fee schedule, volatility fee, trading delay and fee split. Fees are collected automatically every few minutes. The platform keeps a fixed 20% and the rest is shared between the creator, holders and the pool, the way the creator chose.

Hard rules nobody can change on a Meteora launch: authorities revoked, no hooks or taxes, fee at most 10% and equal for buy and sell, creator keeps at most 20% of supply, starting liquidity locked forever.

TL;DR

  • Pay a one-time launch fee (0.03 SOL on pump.fun, 0.1 SOL on Meteora) plus an optional dev buy.
  • Your token is created and starts trading. On Meteora your dev buy fires when trading opens.
  • Traders swap, and fees accrue.
  • You and your holders claim the accumulated SOL from the Rewards page.

Launch flow

  1. 1Fill the formName, ticker, image, links, venue and settings.
  2. 2Approve one paymentSign in your wallet. No manual deposit.
  3. 3Automatic mintMetadata goes to IPFS, the token is minted and every authority is revoked.
  4. 4Livepump.fun: live in the same transaction. Meteora: the pool opens and trading starts after your delay.
  5. 5Trade and earnFees are collected and split on a schedule.
  6. 6Claim anytimeSign a message with your wallet and the SOL is sent to you.

On Meteora, the server takes over once your payment lands and the token is usually live within a minute. Closing the browser is safe. If you skip the image there is no way to attach one later: metadata is frozen.

Trading

Meteora tokens have a Buy / Sell panel on their page. It quotes directly against the token’s pool and your wallet signs the swap. pump.fun tokens link out to pump.fun. Charts and recent trades come from a market-data indexer, so a brand new token can take a few minutes to show them.

Fees and rewards

A scheduled job collects each token’s fees and books four shares: platform (fixed 20%), creator, holders and liquidity. The holder share is divided by wallet balance at collection time, excluding the pool and platform accounts. The liquidity share on Meteora buys the token and adds both sides to the pool in a new locked position.

To claim, your wallet signs a short message that proves ownership. The server checks the signature, makes sure it has not been used before and is less than two minutes old, then sends the SOL. The network fee is deducted from the payout. Claims under 0.0001 SOL wait until more accrues.

Protections and risks

Locked liquidity is not a promise of profit. Creators and other holders can sell, and tokens can lose all of their value.

  • Mint, freeze and metadata authority are revoked when the supply is minted: nobody can inflate or freeze the token afterwards.
  • Claims require a fresh signature from the wallet being paid. A signature works once.
  • Every fee collection and payout is recorded, with its transaction signature.
  • The platform holds collected fees in a hot wallet until they are claimed. That wallet is a trust point: it cannot touch pool liquidity, but it does custody unclaimed rewards.
